Railway station in Indjija reminded me a railway station in my mother's hometown. We didn't know at which platform should we go, but when a train came, all people went there- so we went after them. On the train,
compartments had six places ( not eight as in polish trains ) . A passenger started to talk to Kuba (how poor he was, studying for the exam in September ), he told him that he understands what is written in his codex. Serbian woman told us that she had a cousin in Lodz and to young Serbs she told that they need to learn English because they couldn't talk with us. After an hour we arrived to Belgrade.
We spent the whole day there. I have to admit that before our trip, I was thinking about places which we would see and I was most exited about Belgorod. I was not disappointed . The diverse architecture: from Byzantism to socialism, murals, Orthodox churches, fortress. On the way to the Kalemegdan fortress we noticed a tour with a guide. Kuba was laughing that we could join them (although we have not heard what language they speak).

And of course it turned out that it was Polish tour (Polish are everywhere!) . But we didn't join them - we went to the Military Museum ( which is what Kuba loves ! ) . Later we went to the park to drink previously purchased Kvass. We bought three flavors : plum, orange, natural. All three were delicious ( and produced in Indjija! ).
The streets became full of refrigerators with ice cream, at any store or kiosk. We bought couple of times our favorite ice cream Rumenko which we ate last year in Croatia. Strawberry .. yummy! Walking through the old town we started getting hungry. We wanted to buy only a bread , so we were looking for a bakery. We found a charming bakery on the street Skadarlija. While counting the money we found out that actually to buy stew in bread is more worth it ! And so we ate on the historic street of Belgrade, of course, talking in Serbian with the staff.
After completing this simple and tasty nourishment we went to look for the botanical garden which , when we finally found it , turned out to be closed. We went to see beautiful churches. St. Mark and St. Sava. In the evening we went to the train station, where the lady at the counter on the Kuba's question "Govorite engleski?" replied "Govorite srpski ?" ( which we think is very funny ! ) and we enter the train to Indjija. Kuba cooked his "couchsurfing stew", which is the ratatouille! We ate, talked and went to sleep. Long journey was waited for us the next day.
